The British Educational Travel Association (BETA) is a not-for-profit industry association, specifically aimed at raising the profile of the youth, student and educational travel sector, to, from and within the UK. BETA members offer cultural exchange and working holidays, language and education, backpacking and volunteering, plus much more.
The objective of this event is to ensure greater dialogue between the youth, student and educational travel industry and government departments. BETA urges Government to:
- deal with "Barriers to Growth” through good policy and consultation
- encourage British young people to travel the world to learn and to return with better skills
Education through travel can be harnessed as a valuable opportunity with potential for the sector to deliver considerable value to Britain. Educational travel contributes to our wealth and social fabric – and is a vital ingredient for Britain’s future prosperity.
The event will take place on The Terrace of the House of Lords, between 3.30pm and 5pm and will also mark BETA's 7th anniversary, and we very much hope that you are able to join us.
Invitations have already been sent to BETA members, industry leaders and the wider educational industry, additionally we are also working closely with our international affiliates so that we can welcome overseas organisations with an interest in sending international students to the UK, to earn, learn and return.
