BETA Political Manifesto

One of the many reasons that BETA was formed was to co-ordinate the interests of the many organisations working within the youth, student travel sector and to create a unified voice with which to lobbying government, exert influence and give an objective and balanced view on issue affecting our industry.

With those objectives in mind, it has been crucial that we maintain contact with government and just as importantly between public and private sector organisations. To do that we needed to create a clear and concise document on behalf of industry which truly highlights the needs and concerns of our sector, and at the same time delivers a strong and engaging message about the value and benefits of this fast growing sector.

The document is a long term and strategic and outlines the areas of importance to us as an industry, looking at the challenges to growth, visa issues, health and safety, sustainability and the socio economic benefits that this sector provides.

We have ensured a wide distribtion of this document, sending it to MP's, Peers, destinations, tourist boards, RDAs, LGOs, industry members, representative bodies and others.
