At the association’s recent Annual General Meeting, Anna Fawcett, Global Head of Marketing for Topdeck Travel was appointed to the board of BETA
BETA’s board is formed from a voluntary group of stakeholders within membership and board members are appointed to help drive the strategic direction of the association, so that we may continue to thrive and deliver long term benefits to businesses within the youth, student and educational travel sector.
Anna comes with a decade’s worth of experience in capturing the youth market in tourism and entertainment sectors across the globe.
Before starting at Topdeck, Anna spent three years in various marketing and PR roles at VisitBritain. After a successful start in the PR team, Anna later stepped into the roles of Marcomms Director for North America, Senior Brand Marketing Manager, and (finally) Global Influencer Manager. Key successes at VisitBritain include awards for ‘Best Global Partnership 2017’ (PRWeek Global Awards) and ‘Europe’s leading Marketing Campaign 2018’ (World Travel Awards), and managing the launch of VisitBritain’s global brand campaign ‘I Travel For…’ in 21 markets.
Prior to this, Anna managed international media at the Edinburgh Festivals, and spent most of her early twenties promoting and/or organising festivals in New Zealand – such as Laneways, Rhythm & Vines and the NZ International Comedy Festival.
When she isn’t working, Anna spends her time travelling, going to concerts and hair modelling.
