ast week in London fifty six businesses and individuals were recognised for their high standards, innovative products and outstanding achievements at the 2019 British Youth Travel Awards

“this year we received the highest number of entries to date since the competition began and as a consequence had to further increase our panel of distinguished judges who dedicate their time to score and debate each entry”
The judges of the British Youth Travel Awards are selected for their wide range of expertise from marketing, to education, technology, sustainability and more.

Held aboard the Cutty Sark in Greenwich 200+ industry guests arrived by river courtesy of Thames River Sightseeing to the 12th anniversary British Youth Travel Awards. The event also coincided with the 150th Birthday of Royal Museums Greenwich, Cutty Sark and provided guests with a fantastic historical backdrop from which to celebrate our industry’s high achievers.
Speaking at the opening of the event Steve Lowy, Chairman of BETA said
“over the past 12 years our award winners have exemplified leadership in the youth, student and educational travel sector, and set a benchmark for their industry peers and I strongly encourage organisations operating within the sector to enter the award programme which serves to educate the government, the public, and other industry influencers through their outstanding accomplishments.”
The awards are coordinated by the British Educational Travel Association (BETA) and truly highlight the fun, creative and diverse products and opportunities that are on offer to young travellers.
