Members raise £2,000 for Team Margot

Last week, over 100 stakeholders from the UK youth, student and educational travel sector came together at Belushi’s London Bridge to collectively raise £2,000 for BETA’s nominated charity Team Margot.

Our already popular Youth Industry Networking event took on a competitive edge as 20 teams pitted their wits against one another at the Big BETA Charity Showdown Quiz.

Expertly run by the team from Live the City, who specialise in quizzes and treasure hunts for schools and corporate groups, it was a case of fastest finger first in a series of general knowledge rounds using their giant quiz machines.

The winning team on the night was from Elman Wall who celebrated their victory in style! Plus we gave away some generously donated prizes including a trip to Paris, theatre tickets, tours and more in our charity raffle.

Team Margot Foundation was set up in 2015 in memory of Margot Martini who sadly lost her battle with blood cancer, aged 2.  Team Margot’s aim is to encourage more people to register as a potential lifesaver and with over 37,000 people currently on the waiting list, so there is lots do in raising awareness for this important cause.
