Endsleigh is proud to be supporting the member travel organisations of BETA by including their bespoke student travel insurance as a part of their services, which enhances the level of care they provide to their students – Giving both the organisation and their students peace of mind that their health, wellbeing, and financial risks are protected.
Since the early stages of the pandemic, Endsleigh have looked at ways to develop their student travel insurance policies further, which now includes the following:
For Language Schools – International Students (Inbound Travel):
Covid-19 Delayed Return – Additional travel or accommodation costs
Cover up to £1,000 for additional transport or accommodation expenses if the insured student is required to self-isolate on the date that they are due to return to their home country, having been personally instructed to do so by NHS Test and Trace or the NHS COVID-19 app due to being exposed to someone who has been diagnosed with Covid-19.
Covid-19 Hospitalisation Benefit
If the insured student is admitted to hospital in the UK due to being infected with Covid-19, the cover includes up to £100 for every complete 24 hours they remain in hospital, up to a maximum of £1,400 in total.
For Tour Operators – UK and International Travel (Outbound Travel):
Covid-19 Cancellation or Curtailment
Refund of any pre-paid charges if the insured student tests positive with Covid-19 up to 14 days before they are due to commence their trip or are admitted to hospital due to being infected with Covid-19 up to 28 days before they are due to commence their trip.
The policy will also provide a refund of any unutilised pre-paid charges to the insured student should they test positive after departing on their trip during a test administered by a private sector provider prior to boarding their pre-booked outbound transport.

Student health and wellbeing is our No.1 priority
If an insured student contracts Covid-19 during their time studying abroad, cover will remain in place for emergency medical expenses and all other standard policy cover will remain in force for the duration of the trip.
Financial protection whilst abroad
If an insured student has been diagnosed with Covid-19, cover is in place for additional expenses related to transport or accommodation if it is medically necessary that they stay in abroad beyond their scheduled return date.
Cover for delays in returning home
If an insured student’s return home has been delayed in relation to the pandemic, the policy will be automatically extended without any charge for the period of the delay up to a maximum of 60 days – This will allow the student to remain on cover for all sections of the insurance policy (i.e. medical cover, personal accident, baggage, personal liability, missed departure).
