Have you planned for the unexpected?
In recent weeks the UK has been challenged by acts of terrorism and security issues that have needed immediate action, calm caretaking and ongoing support of those travellers within our care.
With this in mind we have put together this seminar to talk about and share some of the insights and actions that you as operators have been dealing with during this time.
We will also be hearing from a panel of industry experts, covering essential topics which not done correctly can have a huge impact on your business.
What is a crisis?
Just what constitutes as a criss and how to you deal with it if/when it happens… handling a crisis badly can damage your reputation, where as a well-handled crisis can have a positive impact on your business. Our expert will talk about how it can affect you, and how you as a business can plan for such an event, including managing the media, staff and customer support.
The blanket of protection that we all need
We often hear about the resilience of youth travellers, not being put off by global uncertainty, terrorism, natural disasters etc.
Young travellers often think they’re “bullet proof”, and are reluctant to think about travel insurance, they’d rather spend it on a few more pints, or another couple of days on the road.
In this session Nick Pound, Director of Partnerships at World Nomads, an independent and adventure based travel insurance provider will talk about why we have to make it an essential for young travellers, and also why its important to your business.
Crisis management – staying on the right side of the law
There’s so much going on right now in the law which directly affects leisure and travel businesses – from credit card charges to the new data protection and package travel laws – not to mention Brexit.
It’s all manageable once you understand it – and this session will help you to do so. Stephen Mason (No 1 travel lawyer, Chambers Directory 2017) is senior partner of Travlaw, acts for hundreds of companies in the sector, and is co-author of the textbook Holiday Law.
