Go Ape swings into partnership with The Prince’s Trust

Go Ape, the multi award-winning adventure company, has forged a partnership with The Prince’s Trust for the next two years to support thousands of young people who are currently unemployed, struggling at school or at risk of exclusion

Together, Go Ape and The Prince’s Trust will share their employability expertise and outdoor experiences to help 11- 30-year-olds upskill, reskill and build the confidence they need to get back on track in these difficult times.

Navigating your way through school or the jobs market is difficult, even before you add in the complications of a global pandemic. Ongoing disruption to training and education opportunities as well as a highly competitive jobs market have derailed many young people’s lives.

However, Go Ape and The Prince’s trust believe that every young person should have the chance to succeed, no matter what their background and despite any challenges they may be facing.

Go Ape founder Rebecca Mayhew said,

We are looking forward to teaming up with The Prince’s Trust and supporting the vital work they do. We’re donating £60,000 in cash over the two years, and will be making our adventure experiences available to The Princes’ Trust. Our wonderful tribe are always up for a challenge and we’ve got a bunch of fun and engaging fundraising activities in the pipeline as well as lots of volunteering opportunities.

Head of Corporate Partnerships, Emily Larkin, said,

Go Ape will be generously match funding their staff’s fundraising efforts and our teams will work together to provide sessions for young people on our personal development programmes such as Explore and Team. This is the great news we all need after a challenging 12 months for everyone!

True to the Go Ape spirit, there will be some adventurous fundraising events and projects in store for our partnership with the Prince’s Trust.
