Explore our world-famous venue on one of our various Kia Oval ground tours!
Since 1845 Surrey County Cricket Club has been based at The Oval, an iconic location for its history and unique gasholders that have overlooked the ground since 1847.
The Oval was the first ground to host Test cricket in England and is known as the birthplace of the Ashes, when WG Grace and England famously lost to Australia in 1882, which led to the Obituary of English cricket in the Sporting Times. The Oval also hosted the first ever International football match in England between England and Scotland in 1870, later hosting the first ever FA Cup final and the first rugby union fixture in England, again between England and Scotland.
The ground is well served by public transport and on-site coach parking is available. Follow in the footsteps of sporting legends and take a tour of this fascinating and historic venue.
