What has your company been up to in the past 12 months?

Elman Wall works really hard to remain the leading firm of accountants specialising in all aspects of the travel Industry. Just like you, it has taken us years to become experts at travel. The last 12 months have been no exception.

What are the current or emerging trends within your sector?

There are so many. How the travel industry authentically tackles sustainability and climate responsibility is going to become very important, especially un the youth market. Technology still can cause seismic change, and of course, we are still not really much clearer on the impact Brexit will actually have on travel businesses operating in Europe.

How does your role support the business?

As the founder of Elman Wall, I sometimes think that the entire business is only there to support the vision I had 25 years ago. In some ways my role is being the glue that keeps everything hanging together and in others it’s making sure that everyone in our team is kept challenged and busy.

What has been your career highlight to date?

Presenting the Outstanding Achievement Award at the British Youth Awards.

What is the best piece of advice you have ever been given?

It is often not the most talented who achieves their goals, it is the most persistent. Hang in there!

Where is your favourite place to travel to?

I am fortunate to attend about 5 overseas travel conferences a year due to work. My first paid travel experiences were being on American Summer Camps throughout my Uni years in the early ’80’s. Thank you Camp America for some of the best days of my life.

If you were not working in this sector what other industry would you have pursued a career in?

Definitely a singer songwriter….unfortunately I have no musical ability whatsoever.

What’s next for your company?

We are always looking to improve ourselves and offer a wider and deeper range of accounting, tax, TOMS, M&A and Business Advice to the Travel Industry. 2020-Bring It on!
