Umi Digital are delighted to announce Harry Fielder’s promotion from Operations Director to Managing Director
Harry first joined Umi Digital in 2013 as part of their famous internship programme. Following his internship, Harry finished his studies at the University of Bath and returned to work full time at Umi as Business Development Manager. Since then, Harry has been instrumental in Umi Digital’s annual double-digit growth; which led to his promotion to Operations Director in 2016 and now Managing Director. In 2017, Harry won the Hotel Marketing Association Agency Marketer of the Year.
Steve Lowy, who founded Umi Digital in November 2010 will remain involved with the business as Founder and Director – “This is a very proud moment for me and I have no doubt Harry will make a huge success of the role of MD. He already had a great understanding of technology but throughout his internship and now working full-time with us, he developed a real passion for Hotel and Travel Tech. When I created Umi, I wanted to make sure we gave opportunities to young people with the drive and desire to do something with themselves, and in turn create assets to the Hospitality industry that we are in great need of. Harry is a shining example of this”.
Umi Digital work with over 100 hotels and travel business in Europe, offering services such as website design, strategic and operational marketing support, as well as software development. In his new role as MD, Harry states “Experiencing Umi grow from coffee shops to a flourishing team of creative, interesting people has been a wonderful start to my career. As with my internship in 2013, Umi has always held the ‘love of learning’ at its very core and I will ensure that it remains one of our core values going forward. We have never been ones to shy from new challenges, technical or commercial, and it is a real honour to lead the team into the next chapter of Umi Digital”.
