University of Kent wins ‘Best University Accommodation for Groups’ award for the eleventh consecutive year!
The University of Kent is delighted to announce that they have been named by Group Travel Organiser as the‘Best University Accommodation for Groups’ winning the 2018 award for the eleventh consecutive year!
Matt Johnson, the popular TV presenter and broadcaster, presented the award to the victorious team from the University of Kent at the prestigious event in London on Friday 1stJune at the Park Plaza Riverbank Hotel, where key players across the group travel sector came together to celebrate excellence in the industry in 2018.

The ‘Best University Accommodation for Groups’award category was hotly contested this year with a total of six universities shortlisted, including Cardiff University, Imperial College London, St Aidan’s College at Durham University, University of Portsmouth and York Conferences at the University of York alongside the University of Kent.
During its spring and summer vacation periods, the University regularly hosts over 1,000 residential events and accommodates more than 135,000 delegates at its Canterbury campus.
The University of Kent offers groups a wide range of accommodation options on its 300 acre parkland campus – from self-catering houses and flats (each sleeping 5/6 people) to en-suite and standard single and double rooms in halls of residence on a room-only or B&B basis.
