This winter season, The View from The Shard want to welcome you to Aurora, a Nordic wonderland inspired by the Northern Lights and snowy wilderness of Scandinavia
Ahhh winter in London, a time for extra layers and plummeting temperatures. Let’s not let those winter blues set in though as winter is also one of London’s prettiest seasons, with magical lights glistening across the whole city. And, of course, The View from The Shard is the best place to admire London. This winter season, The View from The Shard want to welcome you to Aurora, a Nordic wonderland inspired by the Northern Lights and snowy wilderness of Scandinavia.
This winter our themed Aurora installation has been designed and created by the amazing team at Sketch to create a Nordic wonderland 310m in the sky. First you will be welcomed by our lovely doorman, dressed head to toe in fur.
Then you will be whizzed to the top of The Shard by our high speed elevators which are also themed and full of the sights, sounds and smells of Aurora.
Once you reach level 68, you will witness the winter magic that has transformed our space. Fancy a winter warmer? Head on up to one of our Ski Lodge Bars serving Moet and Chandon and Aurora themed cocktails.
Then take in our piano in the sky! If you are able to play, you are more than welcome to perform a festive tune or two all while taking in the greatest view of London.
During the festive period, we have an enormous Nordic Christmas Tree. Take a photo next to the highest tree in London for the most instagramable moment!
To experience our regular snowfalls brave the elements and head up to our open air sky deck to embrace the cool winter air. The snow will fall every 15 minutes so make sure you get your camera ready!
And of course, it wouldn’t be a trip to the top of The Shard without a selfie! Our picture frame is the perfect backdrop to any picture.
All Aurora elements are included within the ticket price. So, what are you waiting for? Come and chill out with us and have a brrrr-illiant time!
