Last week BETA delivered its largest Youth Travel Workshop to date
The event welcomed over 150 buyers and sellers from the UK and overseas to meet, network and trade.
The programme kicked off with a welcome reception for hosted buyers and sponsors, allowing guests to meet ahead of the big day in a relaxed and informal setting.
Delegates then arrived bright and early at the Kia Oval to hear from our Keynote speaker Mark Essex, Brexit Director at KPMG UK who shared his expert views on ‘life beyond Brexit’, resulting in a lively Q&A session.
Mark’s slide deck is available via the members only section of the website.
Following this the first of over 2,000 pre-scheduled meetings took place between buyers and sellers. The Youth Travel Workshop enables delegates to negotiate new business and create new partnerships and programmes to ensure that young visitors to the UK receive the highest level of service, and are able to experience new, safe, fun and innovative programmes.
Ever keen to give delegates first hand experiences we partnered with the Education Team at the team at the Kia Oval to enable our guests to experience a stadium tour during the lunch period. Plus at the end of the day we welcomed over 100 guests to a special performance of Wicked the Musical, organised by our partners at Made.
Early feedback from delegates shows:
- 98% said the event overall was either good or excellent
- 95% rated the quality of their business appointments excellent or good
- 95% said that the event was excellent value for money
- 95% said that there was an excellent calibre of buyers & sellers
